Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental Policy
Seistech is committed to maintaining a pro-active leadership role within the Geophysical industry to continuously improve the management of Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Line managers must work with total commitment, accept individual responsibility and accountability and provide a work system that protects the Health and Safety of all parties and keep a sustainable environment.
The company is committed to follow these fundamental principles:

All incidents are preventable, preventing them is good business

The company will provide the resources and training according to the right of every employee to have a safe working environment.

All personnel have the responsibility to promptly report unsafe acts and conditions to management.

All personnel shall be encouraged to improve workplace safety through initiatives and innovation.

Conservation of the environment is an integral part of our work. We have a responsibility to the public to apply sound environmental practices when planning and conducting our work.

The laws of the country in which we are operating and the HSE policies and regulations will be implemented through communication and enforcement. They must and shall be followed by all persons with whom the company may be associated.

All employees, contractors, subcontractor and suppliers are required, as a condition of employment and contract, to comply with the HSE Policy. Non-compliance with safety rules will be evaluated and may provide grounds for disciplinary action.
Corporate Alcohol and Drug Policy

No person can work under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any person found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be removed from the job site. Individuals will be reported to their supervisor and the crew manager for evaluation, confirmation of usage and disciplinary action of up to two weeks suspension minimum for first offense and termination for reoccurrence.

The unauthorized possession of illegal drugs, firearms, explosives, weapons and hazardous substances or articles, are not permitted on Seistech premises, including Company owned or leased vehicles, aircraft or vessels.

Alcohol possession or consumption is strictly PROHIBITED on all air, land and marine vehicles, vessels or boats involved in Seistech operations.

Alcohol consumption is strictly PROHIBITED during work hours on all Seistech operations.

Alcohol and drug testing may be conducted for pre- placement, at random, periodically, post-accident and/or for reasonable suspicion, if and as the law permits, on any Seistech crew, facility or worksite. While an employee has the right to refuse an administered test, Seistech reserves the right, if and as the law permits, to suspend or terminate and remove an employee from the work location based on their refusal.

Laws pertaining to drug and alcohol testing and enforcement may vary in different countries but whatever they may be the company will follow such laws.
Corporate PPE Policy
Seistech requires all personnel to use PPE anytime their duties expose them to a possible hazard. All personnel must understand and follow their job description (JD) and the job safety analysis (JSA) for their tasks; considering the Law and all industry and association requirements in force at the time of this policy.
All Seistech employees must use the proper PPE at all time, in any work area on the crews, even if the risk is not clearly observed. This policy includes all work areas including offices, parking lots, and while in transit between offices and workshops. Exception will apply to recreational, social or private activities:

The PPE policy is the same for all Seistech employees, visitors, contractors and clients, regardless of their status or position. No person can visit or stay without PPE in a place where PPE is mandatory.

Anyone involved with crew activities must wear appropriate clothing at all time, with consideration and respect to the local customs of all other people, including crew members and communities.

The Crew Management and the persons at the Safety Department must make plans to ensure that appropriate PPE is available and that personnel are properly trained for the proper use of the PPE.

Each employee is responsible for utilizing the PPE according to the JSA and must stop work if the proper PPE is not available or in bad condition, reporting immediately to his/her supervisor or the Safety Department.

PPE policy implementation must be evaluated in every inspection and audit.
Corporate Training Policy
Seistech has a moral and legal responsibility to train all employees and contractors to work safely.
Training is a very important element of any QHSE program. Training communicates QHSE principles and commitment of management for a safe and productive workplace.
A Seistech HSE Training Plan has been established and is applied consistently throughout the company with the following Guidelines:

General Managers are responsible and Accountable to have the Training plan implemented successfully to keep the employees safe and the company at the best competitive edge.

All employees, at the commencement of employment, receive an induction including ERP’s, Work Procedures and Safety Awareness; the induction is refreshed every time personnel return to the crew for visit or work.

The Head of Department is responsible and accountable for the identification of training needs and the correct implementation in their department.

General Managers, Operations Manager, Project Managers, Line Management and Safety Advisors shall have a comprehensive understanding of safety management techniques

All instructors shall be qualified and certified to all legal and industry standard to conduct training courses following the law, OPG – IAGC and Seistech Guidelines.
Corporate Smoking Policy
Seistech encourages a safer and healthier workplace for everyone following the best practices and procedures complying with the law in each Country.
Smoking might cause fires in some areas, resulting in loss of life, loss of equipment (from Seistech, Clients or Communities) and the loss of other people’s livelihood; causes social issues and has a negative impact on Company’s reputation with all stakeholders.

Smoking also affects the power of concentration, increasing the risks of accidents to nearby work colleagues.

Smoking is not allowed in any work area as offices, workshops, seismic lines, any temporary place where any work is being done or any place used for permanent or temporary storage.

Smoking is not allowed on any area used for permanent or temporary company gathering of personal for planning, short talks, inductions, entertainment or meetings.
-
Smoking is not allowed on company’s owned, rented or leased land, air or water vehicles.
-
Smoking is not allowed in company provided accommodations or catering facilities (owned or rented).
-
Smoking is not allowed at any time in areas where the risk of starting a fire is high.

Where smoking is permitted, there shall be at least 5 meters between any smoking area and:

Any place where work is being done in the camps or in the field.
-
Entrance to any office, often used pathways in the offices or camps.
​Violations to the policy are very dangerous to everyone and everything; it is considered a serious infraction to the employment contract with Seistech.
